Why I decided to make this costume: I chose this cosplay as my first outfit because Final Fantasy X is my favorite FF game and I absolutely loved everything about it. I loved Seymour’s outfit and just overall character, that evil dead man. Also, my friends Libera_Me and Natalie were to cosplay Lulu and Thief Rikku as our first cosplays together.

Construction notes: This was, as I mentioned before, my first cosplay, and everyone knows that n00bs start off somewhere. I did not learn to use a sewing machine until Anji and I did not learn propor techniques until Kuja. So, with that said, I must say that 75% of this outfit is not my own work. A friend of mine and seamstress in CA, Leta, constructed the main robe minus the obi and ropes as part of a commission that she did for myself and Libera_Me’s Lulu Cosplay. Parts I had a hand in include painting of the staff, obi work, ropes, makeup, necklace, nails, and wig.

Extra Thoughts: I also made a new wig for this cosplay after my first one, it’s a lighter blue rather than darker. I will never retire this outfit, I just love it too much and its always fun to wear.
