Why I decided to make this costume: Poke’mon was my LIFE in 6th-7th grade. James was a pretty simple outfit and I had a friend who was willing to do Jessie/Musashi. Why not? It’s a total crowd-pleaser and LOADS of fun haha. It was very nostalgic and worth it.

Construction notes: Let’s see I had to whip this outfit together fairly quickly after mana. The shoes and pants were bought and were ready as is. My belt was painted and there is an aluminum plate for the buckle. Pokeballs are epoxy’ed to the back of the belt. The undershirt was bought, the top was modded and painted with the big R. Gloves are from home depot and the wig was from cosplay.com as a purple color and then painted with a sharpie paint pen with light blue. Together in pictures they came out to just the right combo. The flag is a dowel rod painted with a painted square of fabric over it. The ball on top is sculpey. Meowth was taken from Nuklear_Firefly. Rose was from A.C.Moore.

Extra Thoughts: Team Rocket’s blasting off again! Active cosplay.
