Why I decided to make this costume: The naruto craze kept going on as my friends and I went into Akatsuki phase. I was late getting this outfit done because I had started college while I was in the middle of working on it. I still wanted to finish it though because Itachi is such a badass and bishi guy. Plus… Sharingans were damn expensive.

Construction notes: The shoes are modded sandals I found on sale, the leggings are just some white broadcloth with elastic in the top. Pants were also made from a black cotton with a waistband at the top. Shirt was bought and modded with netting. Necklace was sculpey and has a clasp in the back. Nailpolish is a blue-grey. Sharingan contacts from 9mmsfx.com. Wig was amphigory.com enchantment styled with sculpey gloss. Hat was bought off of ebay and strips of fabric were hot glue’d into the inside of the hat. Painted beads for the hanging section and embroidery thread for a tassel after the bell. Kunai was bought at Otakon, headband belonged to Nuklear_Firefly. Cloak was done in a few days of nonstop work at Miya~Kome’s place using the reverse side of some black satin and red satin for the inside and clouds. This outfit is improperly lined but I made it before I knew how to do it for real thanks to StarDustShadow. The outfit was constructed from a modded pattern, snaps on the front going down and 2 on the collar, which is non-functional. [Does not close]. The clouds were drawn onto sections of the satin and then a zig-zag stitch went over the outline in a tight but loose pattern. Unfortunately by doing so I screwed up the order for a propor appliqué and therefore some of the red can be seen on the outside of the white. But its fairly hard to see in pictures.

Extra Thoughts: I just really enjoy this outfit overall, just because its itachi. Active cosplay.
