Why I decided to make this costume: After I got into Naruto and passed the ZabuzaxHaku arch, I had to cosplay Haku. People had also said that men couldn’t pull off Haku and I wanted to do something about that as well. I just really loved the character and that was why.

Construction notes: This cosplay has some Rocketdog platform sandals with handsewn bias tape over the de-sequined straps. I box-pleated the shorts and the obi is a wool-like material that was folded for thickness and then hand-embroidered lines on one side. The flap on the back also has embroidery on it. The top is lined and the trim was a slightly furry beige fabric. The top was miraculously found at the mall like 2 days before the convention. I had bought a shirt off of the O but it was the wrong color when it got here! The mask is the official hunter nin mask from Japan and he needles were found in the quilting/crochet section of A.C. Moore. The wig had to be bought last minute and to be honest is shitty quality. Never buy from wowwigs.com. I don’t know what was going through my mind when I styled that wig, it really needs some work done to it before I wear this cosplay again. I like the accessories but the styling needs work. The bun tie was sculpey threaded onto some thick wire and bent over the Styrofoam ball core in the bun cover.
